Tapatio Cliffs Wedding-Erin and Chris

I met Erin when she was her sister's (Meggan) Maid of Honor last summer in Sedona. This is one of those families that always made me feel like part of the family. So, when Erin first called me to photograph her wedding and I was already booked, I was crushed! But, as you all know, things always have a way of working out. My couple originally scheduled for that day decided to reschedule their wedding, and so I contacted Erin immediately. I'm so glad I got to be there for her, and of course, spend more time with this wonderful family! I had so many favorites from the day, and here are only a few! See their sweet slideshow here and see some more images on my Facebook account.

I love the below photo of John with his daughters! His daughters simply adore him and I know it's mutual!

Erin was a stunning bride! I loved everything... her hair, her flowers by Ever After Florals, the necklace that's been handed down in her family and her dress was gorgeous!

This one of Chris and his mom is just so sweet! I love the one of the groomsmen too! Both were taken by my super talented assistant, Kristie Ottinger!

The couple were married at St. Francis Xavier Church. I don't get many opportunities to photograph in a church, so it was such a treat to shoot in such a beautiful cathedral!

Tapatio Cliffs has gorgeous architecture and Erin and Chris looked stunning!

I love, love, love this doorway!

Erin and Chis were so sweet to photograph, and they looked so great together.

This photo was taken right when the sun dipped behind the hills in Phoenix. It was just perfect and captured their romantic mood.

I love this one of their first dance, the remote flash worked out perfectly!

I've seen sparklers at weddings before, but not during the first dance. I loved the mood they created as the guests gathered around the dance floor to watch the first dance. Congrats to you both, Erin and Chris! I know your life is going to be filled with so much love and happiness! Thank you for choosing me as your photographer!

Phoenix Wedding Photography-Assisting Sierra Blanco Photography

A few times a year, I get the opportunity to shoot with some amazing photographers. In January, Tina with Sierra Blanco Photography asked me to assist her at a beautiful wedding at the The Castle at Ashley Manor. This wedding had a photo booth, and I LOVE photo booths! Luckily, Tina and I share a similar sense of humor, and we both had the same idea at the same time! That's Tina on the left with the big leopard hat and I'm on the right in the hot pink boa. The wedding was gorgeous, and I loved working with the groom and his friends. Congrats to Brady and Sarah!

Brady was so much fun and he and his friends had me giggling for the majority of the time. Being an assistant photographer is a lot of fun because I normally don't get to hang out with the guys this much.

It took almost zero prompting to get this shot, what a bunch of fun friends Brady has!

The Castle at Ashely Manor was really beautiful! I loved the chandeliers!

This wedding has some gorgeous kids!

One advantage of having an assistant photographer is having them able to roam around the ceremony site to take photos like this. You just can't be two places at one time. This was during the ring exchange and Tina was up front getting the tight shots of the couple.

Brady was such a sweet and sentimental man. He wanted everything to be perfect from his bride. It was really touching.

The speeches were filled with laughs and tears; I even teared up a couple of times!

I've seen more sparkler exits this year than I have in the past. They make gorgeous photos! Tina was at the front of the exit, I can't wait to see her photo of this from her angle!

Jolene and Brad at the Scottsdale Resort

Jolene and Brad were married at the Scottsdale Resort last Saturday under a big blue sky and just perfect weather. Since they are from Green Bay, WI, I know it was a big treat for them to escape the winter! Jolene had a Achilles injury and couldn't walk very far. Brad, being the sweetheart of a guy that he is, arranged for the ceremony to be at the resort, so that she wouldn't have to go to the original location, which would have involved a lot of walking for her. I'm so happy that I was there for their ceremony. It was very heartfelt and you could just tell how much they adored one another. There are lots more, but here are a few of my favorites from the day:

Brad is a avid pool player, so I thought this was cute to remember the date of their wedding:

What a beautiful bride!

Jolene kept giving Brad these cute looks throughout his vows:

What a great day! Congrats!

Julie and Andrew

Julie and Andrew were married at the Arizona Golf Resort this past weekend. The event started with a golf tournament on Friday. We had to get going at around 7am since the temperature was going to be around 110F that day! Julie has a family of 12 siblings and most of them were there! I love shooting weddings with big families, it's amazing how much love surrounds everyone. I'm just beginning to go through the photos, but wanted to post a few of my favorites right away. Here are a couple of photos from the golf tournament. It was a lot of fun!

I love this photo of the groom, Andrew, he looks so happy!

Julie had a beautiful dress! I absolutely loved the details and the wrapped fabric. Thanks to Carla, daughter of the groom, for helping me stage this photo!

Julie had an amazing make-up artist come and do her and her sister and daughter's make-up. Her name is Julie Borman and she works out of Epic Salon in Phoenix. When I can find her contact info I'll put it under my Wedding Resource page!

This photo is right before we started Julie's bridal photo shoot. It was amazing to have so many of her sisters and family there to help out. Oh, and this was right before I started to cry because Julie was so beautiful. I just can't help it, sometimes the meaning of the day and being surrounded by so much love in one room just gets to me!

Julie looked so amazing!
Thanks to Grant and Julie's family for helping me move furniture around to accommodate my vision! I think it was worth it!

I loved Julie's flowers; it was a mixture of roses and peonies. Sadly, one of Julie and Andrew's friends passed away before the wedding. As a way to include him in their big day, the flowers were adorned by details that came from his memorial flowers. I thought that was really special and I loved the dragonfly.

Here's my best attempt of being Yervant! Ha! Julie was great and tried anything that I asked for. Well, maybe not jumping in the lake, but a bride has to have limits! Ha!

Andrew and Julie, thank you so much for letting me be there to document your day!

Janet & Bobby-May 31st

Janet and Bobby were married at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Phoenix this past weekend. It was such a beautiful Catholic ceremony! Janet has eight (yes, eight!) brothers and sisters, two wonderful parents and all sorts of other relatives from across the US and they were all able to come out and help Janet celebrate her marriage. Bobby and his groomsmen were so much fun to work with; thanks for making my job easy guys! Here are a few photos from the day. Congrats!

Bobby has a awesome convertible Cadillac and I had to get some photos with it!
Janet looks so happy!

I love veils, they make some great photos!

Here's a photo taken right at sunset, the lighting was just perfect. Janet and Bobby were great about letting me grab them for photos; thank you !
