Lily & Alexi

Lily and Alexi are a great couple from Phoenix that came up to Flagstaff for some engagement photos. I can't even begin to tell you just how wonderful they were to work with! I wish I could have seen my face when Alexi told me he had arranged for us to go up on the rooftop of the Monte Vista! I really thought I was going to cry. They were a photographer's dream; sweet, in love and up for any of my ideas. Although they kept denying it, I suspect they have been super models in a previous career. I'm sure you won't disagree after you look at the photographs! A couple of their images will be on display at my show this Friday at the First Friday Art Walk at the Shoe's-n-Such store. Alexi and Lily, Thanks for the great afternoon and Congratulations!!

Here's the video!

Michelle & Jimmy-Flagstaff, AZ

Michelle and Jimmy were married at her grandmother's house in Flagstaff, AZ. Michelle was a beautiful bride! I absolutely loved her dress and the little tux that her little boy, Landon, wore for the day. Watch their slideshow here! Here are some of my favorite images of the day:

Backlighting a dress is my favorite way to photograph it.

Michelle has beautiful eyes; they are almost amber in color.

I love this photo of the little boy who pulled Landon down the aisle in a wagon.

And here's the wagon!

Here's one of Landon in that little tux I was talking about:

Michelle's dad was a real cowboy! I really like the hat!

The cake was made by one of the family members.

And finally the happy couple! Thanks for having me and congratulations!

Flagstaff Wedding with Sierra Blanco

I had the pleasure of working with Kevin of Sierra Blanco Photography this past weekend as a second shooter. Kevin was great to work with and he has a great connection with his clients. It was a unique wedding in that we had three different settings to shoot in; the Radisson Hotel for getting ready and the reception, Pine Canyon Golf Course for group shots and the Catholic Church of the Nativity, a beautiful catholic church downtown Flagstaff for the ceremony. Here are some of my favorite images from the day:

Here are a couple of Desiree right before she went downstairs to meet the groom. I love using natural light whenever possible. She was an absolutely beautiful bride!

The ring pillow was made out of lace from Desiree's grandmother.

Here are a couple from our time at Pine Canyon Golf Course. If you have the opportunity book your wedding here! The scenery was breathtaking and we couldn't have asked for better weather. It was overcast and the clouds added so much to the images.

This is the couple's daughter. What a beauty!

The reception was a lot of fun! Everyone had fun dancing, especially these little sisters:

I've been experimenting with slow shutter speeds and using my flash during dancing. I love the movement that's created by this type of image.

And finally, the happy couple! I love how in this photo they are surrounded by family and friends. Congrats! Thanks for having me Kevin!
