This frozen adventure started last year when I started talking to the bride about her date, Memorial Day Weekend. She and I were discussing venues up here in the north country and the Nordic Center seemed to be the perfect place. (No way did either of us expect snow on Memorial Day!) She and her husband are both avid cyclists (Linden's a Pro Mountain Biker!) and they wanted to get married at a place where they both felt most connected. I guess what we didn't count on was the SNOW! I guess that goes to show that the only weather you can count on in Flagstaff is to have some sort of unusual storm. Linden's family isn't from here and absolutely no one showed up prepared for the blizzard! Linden & Andy were great sports about it and just laughed at the wet surprise. I think the snow might have even added to the flavor of the wedding!
Thanks to Jamelle for helping me out and keeping a smile even through the snow! You would never know it was 30F by the look on her face! Just think Jamelle, one week prior we were ankle deep in the Sea of Cortez!
Thanks to event designer, Kim Duncan, for not only making the wedding a beautiful event, but for opening up her home for bridal portraits! Isn't that a great couch?
Linden has the most amazing eyes!
Linden wore her grandmother's jewelry from the early 1900s.
Main Street catered the event. And yes, their food is as delicious as it is beautiful!
The couple's friend, Eric, made this very fitting cake for them!
Linden and Andy trying to warm up. Thanks for bringing your cool light Jamelle!
These photos are from when it was dusk and the reception was just starting. Thanks to Wendell of the Nordic Center for starting this fantastic bonfire which helped warm everyone up!
And last but not least, this photo is an example of why we love Flagstaff. They make a great couple! Congrats Linden and Andy!
