Katie and Brad

I met Katie and Brad last Friday downtown for an engagement session. They are getting married next summer in Heritage Square. Let me start out by saying that I am pea-green with envy that I am not shooting their wedding. Seriously, I might just explode from jealousy. They were SO much fun! Katie is going to be a beautiful and fun bride to work with and Brad is just as sweet as she is. Here are a few images from their engagement shoot. Check out the slideshow here!

Thanks to Kim Duncan for helping me find this amazing red door!

Katie and Brad were constantly playing which made for some awesome candids!

I love this photograph; they look so happy!

Brad pretended he was Fred Astaire for a bit. I should have brought a hat and rain jacket for him!

I love how romantic the rain puddles look in the alleys after a rain!

This wall is one of my favorites in Flagstaff and was perfect for Katie and Brad!

This is one of my favorite photos. We actually had police support to make sure that Katie and Brad were safe from traffic! Thanks to the Flagstaff Police Department and Officer Phillip Munchinsky for helping out! Katie and Brad's guests will be staying at the Monte Vista for the wedding so we thought this would be perfect!

I love this one of Officer Munchinsky looking on....

Flagstaff has some great architecture! This door is at the Babbitt Building. I love it!

Katie and Brad's first date was at Flagstaff Brewing Company. We were lucky enough to get the table where they actually sat! How cool is that?

Katie and Brad wanted some nature shots for their engagement shoot too. I love Aspen trees, they really look beautiful in photographs and they are Brad's favorite tree. So, we headed up to Snowbowl Road. We were so lucky because wildflowers were in bloom too!

What a great couple! Thank you so much for letting me be part of your day! I can't wait to see your amazing wedding photos!

Christina and Dan

First of all, my apologies to everyone for the delay in getting these photos up. As soon as I returned from my vacation, I got strep throat! I'm feeling much better now and am ready to get caught up! I'm just lucky that I got sick in between weddings. (knock on wood!)

Christina and Dan were married at the top of the Hualapai Mountains. The views were incredible! They were such a fun couple to work with, especially Christina. She had such great vision for this wedding. Christina found a necklace on a model in a magazine that she couldn't live without, but couldn't find anything like it in the stores. So, her sister, Gabby, made one for her that was almost an exact replica!

Christina's dress was very elegant and looked gorgeous on her. I loved the simplicity of the dress coupled with the beautiful necklace that Gabby made for her. It was perfect!

Christina had her makeup and hair done by a close friend. Here's a shot of her in her makeup mirror.
Her flowers were white gladiolus with cranberries.

This is one of my favorite photos of Christina, she looks so happy as she was giggling in between the serious shots!
What a beautiful bride :)

Christina has the eyes I've always wanted, beautiful brown. Isn't she beautiful?

Cousins, Caleb and Justin, did a great job at being ring bearers!

Dan wasn't so sure about having his photo taken, but I think he warmed up to the idea after a while!
The scenery was perfect! I couldn't take enough photos with the sun setting in the background.

The theme of this wedding was "Casino", so the park was decorated with lots of sparkling lights. Here is a photo of Christina and Dan dancing their first dance under the blanket of lights.

Thank you Christina and Dan for letting me part of your day! Congratulations!

Julie and Andrew

Julie and Andrew were married at the Arizona Golf Resort this past weekend. The event started with a golf tournament on Friday. We had to get going at around 7am since the temperature was going to be around 110F that day! Julie has a family of 12 siblings and most of them were there! I love shooting weddings with big families, it's amazing how much love surrounds everyone. I'm just beginning to go through the photos, but wanted to post a few of my favorites right away. Here are a couple of photos from the golf tournament. It was a lot of fun!

I love this photo of the groom, Andrew, he looks so happy!

Julie had a beautiful dress! I absolutely loved the details and the wrapped fabric. Thanks to Carla, daughter of the groom, for helping me stage this photo!

Julie had an amazing make-up artist come and do her and her sister and daughter's make-up. Her name is Julie Borman and she works out of Epic Salon in Phoenix. When I can find her contact info I'll put it under my Wedding Resource page!

This photo is right before we started Julie's bridal photo shoot. It was amazing to have so many of her sisters and family there to help out. Oh, and this was right before I started to cry because Julie was so beautiful. I just can't help it, sometimes the meaning of the day and being surrounded by so much love in one room just gets to me!

Julie looked so amazing!
Thanks to Grant and Julie's family for helping me move furniture around to accommodate my vision! I think it was worth it!

I loved Julie's flowers; it was a mixture of roses and peonies. Sadly, one of Julie and Andrew's friends passed away before the wedding. As a way to include him in their big day, the flowers were adorned by details that came from his memorial flowers. I thought that was really special and I loved the dragonfly.

Here's my best attempt of being Yervant! Ha! Julie was great and tried anything that I asked for. Well, maybe not jumping in the lake, but a bride has to have limits! Ha!

Andrew and Julie, thank you so much for letting me be there to document your day!
