One of the hardest things for Grant and I to come to terms with is living so far away from our families, especially during the holidays. He's from Minnesota and I grew up in Georgia. Both of our families are far away, with the closest one for him being his sister in Texas. This photo is of our niece, Emily. We recently sent her this book with a matching red hat. It's a sweet story of a little animal who gave away his only present to a friend, only to have that same love returned to him. I would have given anything to read this to Emily, but I'm glad that she liked it. To all of our friends and family that live far away...we miss you and think about you every day!

Emily's Red Hat

Emily was so excited to see herself on the computer!!! Then when she saw pictures of Molly, I thought her head was going to explode. Finally, when she was your picture, Melissa...she said "I love you Aunt Melissa".
