Lucas James Thomas Sather
Our nephew, Lucas James Thomas Sather, came home from the hospital yesterday and is currently resting in his own home in Texas with his family, grandparents, and of course, his adoring big sister Emily. Thanks to everyone who offered their prayers to Lucas when he was in the hospital. We're happy to report he's doing much better!

The Davidson Project
Special projects can be very inspiring. I've been commissioned to capture some images of downtown Flagstaff and I've been waiting for the perfect moment to start this project. It's been a while since I've looked at streetscapes in this detail and I was a bit intimidated. However, yesterday morning was perfect in Flagstaff to test my skills. It has been snowing on and off in Flagstaff for a while and it accented the building perfectly. This is just a starting place for the project and I'm looking forward to working on it more.

Debra and Jeremy
What's funny about this engagement session is that is was really just a photo shoot for a Holiday Card. Then, about one month later, Jeremy popped the question to Debra! You can really tell from these photos just how much they love each other. And, isn't Debra going to be a beautiful bride? They are getting married next year at Lake Tahoe and I can't wait to be there to shoot it all!

Do you need a Wedding Planner?
Details, details, details...
I've always tried to convince all my brides to consider a wedding planner. If you've started the planning process already, you know the amount of time having a professional can help you save. If you're in the market for someone to help you make all your event dreams become a reality, consider Kim Duncan. She has recently added Weddings to her existing Event Planning company and she will definitely not disappoint! These photos are from a baby shower that I recently attended for Cameron. Kim does a great job of making the simple very elegant and distinctive.

Snow Fun in Flagstaff
The winter is a beautiful place in Flagstaff; lots of snow just makes you want to go outside. Even though I've been in AZ for 13 years (has it been that long??) I am still in unbelief that the snow will "stick" (as we said in GA) and I'm constantly wanting to get out in it and play before it melts, which is what happened in GA about 2 hours after it snowed. Lucky for me, I've always had dogs, and now a husband, to go with me. These photos are of the "Wake-Up Trail" just yards from our house. Yep, we're pretty lucky! The last photo is of Molly, our 60 lb puppy of six months, "helping" keep Grant warm.

Missing the Welch's
Shelli and I during Neil and Diana's wedding weekend. It was so much fun to see her! Below is Jeff Welch with Kim and I at Interbike. You can tell from my laughing that that guy always cracks me up!
Sometimes, I just really miss old friends. You know, the kind that know you inside out, and the kind that can make you laugh just when you want to cry. Shelli and Jeff Welch moved to North Carolina a couple of years ago and their ears must be buzzing all the time as much as we talk about them. "Remember when Jeff and Shelli did..." is the common preclude to a funny story. Jeff is co-owner of Luna Cycles and Shelli has just opened her own Personal Training Business. They are thriving back in NC, but we miss them lots!
