NAU Graduation Portrait Session {Isabella}

Every now and then we get to meet an Intern that really impresses us and Isabella is definitely one of those ladies.  We got to know Isabella throughout 2011 while she was an Intern for KD Event Designs.  We would see her work through the day of a wedding, always with a smile, while she managed the success of an event.  Whether she was clearing a table, setting up an escort card display, running to find needle and thread for a bride, or checking with the couple to see if they needed any assistance at the reception, she did it professionally, enthusiastically and with an effortless positive attitude.

Isabella is reaching a milestone this week when she'll be awarded a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design.  Given Isabella's talent and dedication, we can only imagine what successes she'll accomplish in the future.

Here's what Kim, of KD Event Designs, has to say about Isabella:
"Isabella is a very creative, sweet and organized individual.  She excels at staying on task under pressure, which is a critical trait needed in the Event Planning and Design field.  I'm very lucky to have her as an asset for my business.  Her future holds many possibilities and I am excited that she has decided to stay with the KD Event Design team for 2012."

Congratulations Isabella!  We look forward to working with you again and wish you the best for your exciting future!

The beautiful meadow with the aspen trees and view of the San Francisco Peaks is where the couple will be getting married over labor day weekend. We were pretty excited to see the many  amazing photo possibilities with this location.

Caitlin and Ryan are so in love, they just smiled and giggled the entire shoot.  We are looking forward to September and can't wait to capture their special day!

Lipan Point Grand Canyon Wedding - Emily & Tim

Kristen and I love doing elopements, especially at the Grand Canyon! Tim and Emily road tripped with four family members to Northern Arizona from Oklahoma to have a small intimate wedding at Lipan Point in the Grand Canyon National Park. Emily brought some wedding Voodoo dolls from New Orleans and her grandmother's Bible. Her simple and elegant bouquet was designed by Flagstaff Floral.

Sometimes at weddings, things run behind. I always tell the bride not to worry about it, because, ultimately, the wedding will not occur without her! On this day, Tim's dad, who had the wedding dress, made the wrong turn in the park and was a bit late. So, we had to improvise as to where Emily put her dress on. Luckily, Emily was a great sport and she and her sister used the back of the museum as a dressing room!

Although the couple had intended to get married an hour earlier, this just goes to show that sometimes, mistakes happen to us for a reason. I think the light was just perfect and it really set the romantic mood for the ceremony.

Even though I live only 70 miles from the Grand Canyon, and have been many times, I'm always taken aback as to just how beautiful it is. What a beautiful place to start a life together.

Congratulations to Emily and Tim! We hope you had a fabulous honeymoon and had a safe journey back to Oklahoma!
