Fast forward NINE years (I can't believe it's been that long!)...and I got a call....Leslie's engaged! And the best part, is that she asked ME to shoot her wedding! Oh man, I can't tell you how excited I was!!! They had decided on a wedding on the San Francisco Peaks and a reception at Foxboro Ranch, both beautiful places!
I learned a lot about Leslie on the day of her wedding, since I had just really spent time with her on bike rides. One thing I noticed right away, is that she had definitely found her perfect match. Stacy adores this girl to the ends of the earth. They were so tender and sweet to one another. And, this lady has some MAD style! I adored her choice for a Nicole Miller dress, and the accessories were just perfect, especially the red rose in her hair and the beautiful jewelry she choose to wear.
I also found out that Leslie's beauty is so genuine and just permeates from her soul. I just love this one of Leslie! This is probably one of my favorite bridal shots of 2010!
While I knew that Leslie and Stacy had three adorable rescued dogs, I didn't know just how much part of their family they were and how kind hearted this couple was. I thought that having them at the wedding was perfect!
I learned that Leslie and Stacy were two of the craftiest people I've ever known, especially when it came to their own wedding. This bouquet, made out of succulents, was probably one of the few things that Leslie and Stacy didn't make. Her mom made it for her as a present. It was so unique and fit in the day perfectly.
There were so many cute details at the wedding. I loved the music paper theme throughout the venue. I learned that Leslie's background is in the Theater!
I loved that the couple wanted to get married on the San Francisco Peaks. If you've never been up to "Aspen Corner" off of Snowbowl Road, you should really check it out. It's one of my favorite places on earth, and one of the few places in Arizona where you can here a Hermit's Thrush! (I had to throw in some birding stats! :)
Downtown Flagstaff is a untapped resource for creative photographs. It seems that no matter what time of day, we can always find something unique. I loved that Stacy and Leslie made extra time in their day so we could go explore downtown!
This last one Leslie likes to call "Flagstaff Gothic". I'd like to call it a portrait of two very special people that I'm honored to call my friends. By the way, I still think Leslie is the Cat's Meow. And Stacy, you are too!! Congrats you two!
There was absolutely no way I could have included all my favorite images from the wedding, so I've added the slideshow. Enjoy!
